“Dark night of the Soul” is said to be unavoidable to make soul contact and break into the world of Higher Consciousness. A time of spiritual crisis. Characterized by feelings of despair, emptiness, and disconnection. This experience that has been labeled the “dark night of the Soul”, supposedly leads, however, to a deeper spiritual understanding and rebirth.
Now, while I don’t deny that during the process of awakening there might not be a time when the human human ego is being “burned off”. This can be uncomfortable, but I don’t think that despair and emptiness is always the case.
There is No “Dark Night of the Soul”
“Dark night of the Soul” is an incorrect term for what happens. I don’t think the Soul ever has a dark night. Instead, the Soul, your Higher Consciousness, is always waiting and wanting you to wake up. And contact it. And become your spiritual best friend. It exists in the 5th Dimension, in the invisible Spirit world. And is unaffected by your life as a human being. Is Soul “interested”? Yes. Hopeful? Yes. Affected by your three-dimensional life? No.
It goes about its business on the 5D level, working on inner levels to encourage your Awakening. Prepared, at any time, for when you do. But infinitely patient. And compassionate.
Dark Night of the Ego, Maybe
You may have a “dark night”, as I did, but this was a dark night of my ego, not my Soul.
The pain of it had more to do with the pain of realizing that what I thought was true about my existence was false. It had to do more with the discomfort of my ego giving up its place in the center of my Universe. But this the pain that comes with growing up.
In the end, the ego is happy relinquish the role of being in control. For which it was never suited to begin with. And happy to allow the Soul to assume its rightful place at the helm. The ego can then do its job as team player rather than leader. An observer. A carrier out of the plan of your Soul. For which waking up is a key first step.
No Need to Suffer
Our Master Teachers have paved the way for those of us coming along at this space and time. So that we don’t have to suffer so at the hands of external and internal enemies. So that we can be exposed to the Truth of Who We Are–Eternal Beings in human bodies. So that we can be trained by our Souls in the Ways of Eternity.
To step out on our spiritual Path to do the work we have been called to do. At this crucial time in history when sufficient momentum has been generated to make Great Strides. In this Space of 3d and 5D reality that so wants us to succeed. To bring about transformation at a time when the darkness seems to be closing in. But a time of deeper spiritual understanding and rebirth is clearly unfolding.
